The Apex Corporation routinely recruits the galaxy's best to fight as part of their private security force. To that end, they created their own new hire: Riot.

Riot was the company's first attempt at creating an artificial 'super soldier' to suit their needs, but their approach was relatively unrefined at that point, they let their creature form and evolve on its own, and Riot is what resulted. He is reckless, and has little self control, rendering him incredibly dangerous in the field, often used only as a last resort.

His most notable ability is his body's capability to adjust to threats and circumstances against his will, for example, if pushed off a building, his arms might flatten out into 'wings' to glide to safety without his consent. For this reason, he may actually be the most powerful Apex recruit, as any attempt to contain or kill him is simply met by his body's strange attempts to counter-attack. Other examples would include making his blood acidic, or when shot, redirecting the bullet and firing it back out of his body at the attacker. Even more terrifying are reports that he can generate duplicates of himself.

Shortly after his appearance, he developed a literal cult following, religious fanatics claiming that his appearance and mannerisms resemble that of an old, world-eating god. Oddly, they seem to want to help him, not prevent the disaster they claim will be his creation.

Riot's name can probably be attributed to the original reason for his creation, riot control on Aria City's streets.

He has sort of a 'born yesterday' mentality, having literally been taught more about how to use a gun than about things like proper table manners and etiquette.
