• Weapons on its back are not necessary, and can be random
• Core is hot enough to liquify Chromium 3465°F (1907°C), but its outside surface temperatures are between 120°- 150°F (49°- 66°C). Heat is vented through the open ports on its sides and head at ~700°F (371°C)
• Consumes burnables and fires voraciously, though it is not required for it to remain hot
• mouth opens very wide and can expand much like a snake, though it crushes things to make them smaller with its jaw or claws so that they can fit into its core
• mouth is completely hidden when it is closed
• Any wound made to it is only a surface wound and its blood is like magma that seals and repairs the wound in seconds

Personality

• If given free reign, Hatred is a voracious eater. It is fearless, often following, and sometimes leading, packs of Ragers to consume the fires and debris they sometimes leave in their wake. Its heat is immutable, and it is unfazed by extreme cold or extreme heat conditions. It is indifferent toward most things, and acts indifferent towards things even if it isn’t.

Character Information

Hatred came to being in the same way, and at the same time as Perseverance, Judgment, and Vindication. Despite its accepted name, Hatred doesn’t really care about most things.

Hatred is by far the largest of the four creatures commonly called ‘Horned ones’. At normal resting stance, it sits about eight feet at the shoulder and about thirty feet long, including its tail. It has an insatiable appetite for fire and pretty much anything it can fit in its huge maw, but it tends to favor combustible objects or things already on fire. It doesn’t actually need to eat anything. It takes a few days of nonstop consumption before it stops to rest, purging everything but certain metals through the slots on its sides into a pile of slag. Once the process is completed, it starts all over again.

If not for the hunger Hatred constantly feels, it would just go around setting fires and watching them burn. As it stands, Hatred wanders through the ruins of cities and the wilds to find the random objects it craves. It tried to ignore the hunger at one point atop a snow covered mountain, lying there as the snow melted around it. But it started to feel pain within itself, getting worse the longer it went without eating. At the point it became intolerable, an injured human stumbled upon it. The human girl was unaffected by The Rage, obvious to Hatred by the way she looked at it.

She collapsed, unconscious, her bag breaking open and spilling precious metals before Hatred. The pain of hunger was too strong to ignore with food that close, so it ate the metals, mostly consisting of gold. While it was eating, a pack of Ragers found them, armed with makeshift weapons. They all struck at Hatred’s body, but its thick hide was barely scratched. Hatred grew tired of their pestering and struck them down, consuming their corpses afterward.

Though unintentional, the girl brought something to ease Hatred’s suffering, healing its pain. So, it returned the favor. Using one of the weapons superheated by its body, it cauterized her wounds. It left her there, the debt repaid in Hatred’s mind, and continued on to find more food...
