A mysterious man with no last name wanders into Bright City one night. No one knows where he came from or why he can see ghosts. He only gives anyone who asks him the name of "Daniel", but whether that is his real name or simply something to give others to call him, no one really knows.

Following the pattern of ghosts and hauntings, Daniel takes a job at the Bright Spirits upscale bar and uses mysterious abilities to keep the people who enter the bar from suffering effects of lingering haunts.

Personality-wise he can be a bit gruff towards people, possibly from being alone for so long in his life...but anyone can always count on him to do the right thing in any situation.
