Corynth is of the Tenga tribe, a warrior race that usually has existed as the foot-soldiers of would-be galactic conquerors, most notably Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa in their attempted conquest of Earth. Ever since Dark Specter's defeat, however, the Tenga have seemingly fallen out of favour with the forces of evil, so now most roam the galaxy as roaming criminals and mercenaries for hire.
Corynth, and his rookery brother Cortez (played by Seagoon) are such travelers. They're both adept at melee combat and flight, and absolutely dedicated to each other. While they have no interest in conquest themselves, they still possess a mean streak, and there's nothing they love more than causing trouble.
The character is based on the Tenga characters seen the third season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and the first Power Rangers movie.
