Again, this is pretty much a work-in-progress as I don't have a full body picture yet - this icon was drawn by frankieancelotti - but hopefully it'll give you an idea of where this is going.

Cortez is of the Tenga tribe, a warrior race that usually has existed as the foot-soldiers of would-be galactic conquerors, most notably Lord Zed and Rita Repulsa in their attempted conquest of Earth. Ever since Dark Specter's defeat, however, the Tenga have seemingly fallen out of favour with the forces of evil, so now most roam the galaxy as roaming criminals and mercenaries for hire.

Cortez, and his rookery brother Corynth (played by darkknight), are such travelers. They're both adept at melee combat and flight, and absolutely dedicated to each other. While they have no interest in conquest themselves, they still possess a mean streak, and there's nothing they love more than causing trouble.

The character is based on the Tenga characters seen in the third season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and the first Power Rangers movie. I don't believe they have an equivalent in the sentai, though I could be wrong.
