History||

She was born in Edo (Tokyo) in 1612 to an upper class samurai family. Her father cared for her after her mother was killed in a near by village by an angry mob. The riot was short lived, due to her father and his fellow soldiers intervening. However Yuki lost any chance of learning how to use all of her skills. Kitsune's learn from their kitsune parent the skills they need to become full fox spirits. Yuki's father was merely a human who fell in love, and married a kitsune woman. Yuki was very young when she lost her mother, but she did notice when her father took to drinking due to her mother's death.

Yuki was introduced to theatrical arts by the families of other samurai. She became enamored with kabuki, and noh theater. She quickly learned the art of song and dance from watching kabuki, and showed off for her friends often. Eventually even the geisha who visited the palace were impressed with how well Yuki had learned the art of theater. Some geisha would play music for her to dance to, while others took up teaching Yuki dances, and musical instruments.

Eventually Yuki's father passed of old age, and she was now without any family to marry her off. As a kind gesture the Okasa-san of a geisha house took pity on Yuki, and took her in to learn the art of geisha. While Yuki enjoyed showing off for the men who would pay for her artistic services, she felt that something was missing in her life.

Centuries passed, until one day Yuki received a poorly written letter from who she thought was a secret admirer. The letter spoke of her being in the wrong lifestyle, and questioned if she desired to learn more about who she really was. It gave a place to meet, and was signed “your big brother.”

Notes||

*You can tell Yuki is a kitsune when she is in her human form because of her ears and her shadow. Her ears are slightly pointed at the tips, and her shadow is always in the shape of a fox. However, she hides her ears with her hair most of the time. It is rare for her to wear her hair up. Another way you might be able to tell is by the four tail marks on her lower back. That is IF you get the chance to ever see them.

*Yuki's mother taught Yuki how to bond with her spirit jewel, however, she was unable to teach her how to unlock all of it's skills before she died.

*Yuki's “big brother,” real name Tutsumi, stays by Yuki's side as a pet guardian, and does not interact with anyone but Yuki (unless necessary.) When Yuki is not in class Tutsumi tries to teach her the kistune skills that she is lacking.

*She has decided to try and modernize herself. However, she is not quite sure how to go about doing that. Yuki tries hard, and comes off as a bit of an overachiever. This ends up coming out in her wardrobe choices.
