A part of Bea's small group of friends, she was out at the mall with the others, while bea was at school working on some projects. However, she and her friends happened to get caught in the bio-corp blast, which ended up giving them all severe insect mutations. After hiding out for a while, she and the others fell upon a colony of insect mutants, where they ended up staying.
Juniper, being the shy one, was very quiet throughout the process of her mutated life, though she felt very insecure about the whole thing. Most of her friends seemed to brush off the effects of becoming a mutant, or simply were unaffected. Not wanting to cause a scene, she kept her feelings quiet to avoid tension between them all. Though it wasn't till she reunited with Bea where she confessed her feelings. Bea oddly enough sympathized with her, and helped her cope with her mutation. After coming to terms with it all, Juniper aided the heroes by acting as a representative of the insect colony, discussing the needs of said colony to the heroes so to receive aid.
