Deriaz was originally just a character to put myself in the furry fandom with no real thought or meaning behind him beyond some very surface-level reasoning ("Iguanas look cool and are rather quiet! Right?"). Since then, he's become a mirror of my qualities in real life, both what I have and what I wish I could be (some of which I'm working towards). I've tried to be thoughtful about his demeanor, his clothing, his personality, etc. In the future, perhaps I'll use him to explore other qualities that come to mind. An example that comes to mind may be religion/faith, if I can handle it with respect. For now, he's just fine as a mirror. I know that's rather vague for a "description", but perhaps if I use him for personal work, it will make a bit more sense.
