Skada Perdrix is a tall, immature Tengu Wizard, specialized in transmutation and illusions. Skada was hatched and nested in Radasloika, a city in a hollowed-out bay in the northern reaches.

Skada has a scrawny frame, dark feathers, a tarnished brass beak, and yellow talons. He tries to look tougher than he is by dressing in large, heavy clothes in the style of the great adventurers he read about in penny dreadfuls.
His clothes are always practical, with his vest and trousers covered in pockets and loops for spell scrolls and handy components.

Skada primarily drinks tea, but enjoys stealing ale from his adventuring companions when they don't notice. He also has an irrational fear of frogs and other amphibians. While he primarily relies on his magic and deception to avoid combat, when he must fight personally he uses a magic rapier he calls "frogsticker". He's also never below pecking an enemy or annoying friend, though he considers fighting with bare talons to be uncouth.

Skada is always accompanied by his familiar, a rainbow-colored cat called Doppler.
