Quick personal piece I drew while in between commissions. Minah desperately needed a ref so here she is! c: I bought her design a while ago from NiseSk on here, I'm still in love with her! <3

Oh, the question mark next to her gender is probably best explained with her history but in conjunction with her two siblings, she grew up in 17th Century China. Originally designated to be groomed to be the wife of a powerful aristocrat (disguised as a human) due to her gender, Minah became increasingly frustrated with the passiveness of it all and begged her father for a more interesting life. In order to do so she took on more traditionally masculine traits of that time and became educated. For the next several hundred years she hopped in and out of various states of power, disappearing into the woodwork once her human disguise was old enough to have died and reappearing as someone new: sometimes a scholar, but more often than not became invested in a political role. Her downfall, however, was in picking off a child of high-standing to replace and being caught in the process. She was exposed as a fox and chased off, forced to go into hiding for over two decades until words of a malevolent fox spirit stealing away children faded into a bedtime story parents told their children to make them behave. Though it was a relatively minor event in the grand scheme of things, Minah took this as a personal slight against herself and has been working on her magical abilities studiously ever since.

Only recently has she begun to reconnect with her siblings Fu and Meilin, and her current goal is to become the political figurehead of Prismshard: she hopes to dismantle the deep-rooted prejudices among them towards codelings and basically anything non-human in the hopes that she won't have to hide among society any longer. She also wants to become reigning King of Elusion but hey, baby steps.
