Personality

• If I give you free reign, she loves showing cleavage, being professional in public, she can be vicious to her enemies, she plays with people that are into objectification kinks and has a few pieces of furniture at home. 'Couch', 'lamp', 'table' and 'chandelier'. She is not one to be messed with, and though she is a sloth, she is far from un-animated.

Character Information

Gabriela keeps her history well hidden. Only one person knows of it completely, and that is because she was an integral part of it. Gabriela's mother suffered from post natal depression and ended up committing suicide shortly after she was born. Her father, though he did try at first, fell into a deep depression, became an alcoholic, and ended up drinking himself to death. He got into an accident that proved fatal. Gabby was too young to remember this, but always got the feeling that they were both really good parents, just too weak to deal with their demons.

She was entered into foster care, where she discovered the evils of the world. Her foster parents were not only thieves, stealing the governments money to get themselves nice things while getting as little as possible for their charges, but they were also bigots. They were a pair of humans that hated all other morphs. They would have taken in only humans, if the government allowed, but to try and prevent bigotry, the government had made a law against foster care guardians taking care of only one type of morph.

When Gabby was twelve, she witnessed a pair of miscreants killing arthropodian morphs as a sort of sick game, and threatened to call law enforcement, which got her beaten within an inch of her life. She was beaten, fading fast, and her body was releasing pheromones that were a mix of fear and defense. The pheromones attracted ambush bugs to her, that promptly began to eat all of her sloth moths, which was like salt in her wounds. But a blessing did come from this. One of the attracted ambush bugs was a morph, who took Gabby's beaten body to a nearby hospital. After being in a coma for a few days, Gabby woke to find the ambush bug, Whisper's mother, there with her. She explained that she was drawn to her by the pheromones her body was releasing and thought it curious. And now, living there with her, the rest of the ambush bugs resided within her fur. She soon discovered that they were being directed by the pheromones she released, like a colony of ants.

Gabby did not have an ID, and nobody reported her missing, due to her foster guardians not caring due to their xenophobia, so when she woke, there were social workers and other law enforcement officers waiting to hear her story. She exposed the thieving and bigoted ways of her foster guardians and they were sent to prison for a very long time. She also reported the deaths of the other arthropodian morphs, but they never did catch the killers.

Gabby was put into another foster home until she was sixteen, when she claimed her independence, despite her new foster guardians being sweet people. Unfortunately, Gabby was a bit jaded and had seen what corrupt and bigoted people could accomplish, which led her to getting a job at a private security firm. Whisper's mother had given birth to her by this point, and she started to grow and learn alongside Gabby, studying their own interests on the side while going to college for other things. Gabby caught wind of things during her time at the private security firm, even though she was a low level employee, due to the misconception that sloths have terrible hearing... Her ears might be small, and hidden under her fur and hair, but she could hear perfectly fine. She learned all she needed to about private security firms to eventually open her own.

Gabby is very intelligent, which runs in her family alongside a few mental illnesses that she seemed to avoid. With a knack for business and running projects, Gabby eventually opened up Silent River, a bit of a play on the first two employee's names: Whisper Phymatinae and Gabriela Rivera.
