Kip's race, the Delkuni, comes from a few hundred Galaxies over and normally are quite a diligent, calculating, ambitious & technologically minded (even to the point of suspected light machine and electronic empathy).

Kip however is the exception.

In early stages of his 6th degree Deep Space Travel training taken on an outlying planets' space station, Psiros Star III in the Mentar System, (Much to his biological guardians disgust at the station being 'mixed race' and not as focus or of the same caliber as purely Delkunian tuition institutes. This he purposely did to get as far AWAY from them and responsibility, even his chosen field reflects his true intentions)

It was early on, now with the new range of mixed race-peers, that Kip hears rumor of a very distant and primitive planet on which an assigned Life-Practice is optional.

A Utopian culture which allows members to live almost entirely without social contact to do whatever they please, yet supports a growing electronic technology in which creative fictional indulgence is celebrated!

A notion far to tempting to ignore.

And with a new goal in mind to break free of his borne culture and live what he believes to be the ultimate dream, he is invigorated in a natural Delkun'en fashion to gain just enough freedom learn all he can about this station myth (in absolute discretion) and strike out across the 'verse toward 'Earth'.

His excitement (a rare emotion for his race) and the complexity of organizing a few aspects of form-altering (to better disguise himself in the fashion of the closest resembling native planet species... or so his limited research had deducted) almost dashing the entire venture, it was with much risk and MANY solar-cycles that Kip finally found himself near lost in the crushing nothingness of uncharted perimeter sectors.

And almost at an end of his crafts resources and hope, Kip all but bumped headlong into the system containing the planet he had so dreamed about.

And it indeed proved to be a paradise in his eyes. (More amazing in how far from being found he had now become of recognizable quadrants.)

It is here on Earth that Kip spends his time in almost complete blissful seclusion, except for the BAREST requirement of obtaining enough credit for bodily and entertainment sustenance, in a make-shift 'anthropomorphic variant' guise.
