Archer became king after his guard, Walter Grant, removed his father (King Sena Sloane) from the throne. Timid but well meaning, Archer is trying to be the king the Levsup kingdom needs and deserves, focusing more on the well being and health of his citizens rather than building a strong military force. He believes heavily in the power of positive thinking; if you put out the hope for something good, the gods will provide should you really be in need. When he thought he would die at the hands of his father, and begged the gods for a friend, Walter came into his life and saved him. Despite not being sexually attracted to Walter, he is undoubtedly in love with him.
