A long time ago, in a galaxy far away...

There were a bunch of critters, highly regarded among their galactic civilizations, for their great empathy and ability to communicate with damn near anything. These creatures were called Vinkt. By and large, this species had embraced magic in their very genetics, and as a result were quite talented in the field. They used it to reach out to the stars, and even to lead their galactic community in time.

However, through a series of misunderstandings with regards to conflicts of the time, a certain group of Vinkt were outcast for siding with their enemy, and confined to one cursed, icy little world. Thus, when the Vinkt went too far in their fighting and were cast down, those Vinkt on that world were nearly all that remained.

That was an untold number of years ago. More than thousands by our earth standards.

This particular Vinkt is one of those exiled at the time.

Her name is Malyka.

In the modern day her kind are not even really known to still be around, and those that have heard of them, have only heard myths and legends, and few of those spoke kindly of her kind. Being extinct as far as everyone else is concerned is just fine with her though. To most she is a unique oddity who's origins are a mystery. No one usually remembers when she showed up in whatever place she should happen to be, and often times, it sort of seems like she has always been there.

Malyka might not look it, but she is exceedingly old. Not that her kind age in the same way that we do, but not even she could tell you just how old she is. She has watched civilizations rise and fall around her, has helped in conflicts that she was concerned in, and seen worlds end.

This is one hardy creature that generally spends the majority of her time dabbling in very experimental magical enchantments. With age and experience in magic for this sort of critter, comes power and ability. Malyka is very skilled in altering the properties of herself and a variety of things she comes in contact with commonly.

She generally wears no real clothing, but rather what she appears to wear is some sort of enchanted material, or is an illusion entirely. She is very skilled with a few particular enchantments as well, particularly in the field of protections. If Malyka so desired, she could enchant a set of armor to make the wearer nearly invulnerable.

She likes to help out whatever community she happens to be living in, in whatever way she can~ However, when there is a ting that she wants, generally sooner or later she will get it. She can be very patient and persuasive, but is also not afraid to take such should it be enticing enough.

In general though Malyka actually means well and can even be almost a motherly sort of protective of the community she resides in. She might have to smack a few folks around within her 'family', but over all, she does what she thinks is good for the folks in her flock.

She is quite welcoming of outsiders too, but can be much less considerate of their wants or needs, especially should she see them as any sort of threat.

The Vinkt is a bit taller and heavier than your average anthro, and plenty happy to use that to her advantage if she needs to. More often than not though she prefers to kill with kindness where such is appropriate.

All that said, story Malyka is a bit different than I tend to portray her in art. In truth, Malyka wouldn't much want to hurt anyone, but also wouldn't hesitate if it was necessary.

That's not to say that she wouldn't go about eating folks or absorbing them up or whatnot, but just that story Malyka would be much more likely to see to it that they ended up coming back to life afterwards than I ever draw. X3

FURTHERMORE

Storywise, Malyka is pretty OP. If she wants to do a thing, or wants to get a thing, that's all there is to it. It will happen.

So, one might imagine if otherwise happens in art or whatnot, it's because I beat her nearly to death with a nerf bat the night before.
