Umbra is my fursona, I dunno about a backstory since Umbra's basically me. >>;

Personality-wise, Umbra is…. Also me. I mean, being my fursona and all… What more is there to say?
As for design, I decided to make my ‘sona out of two of my favorite animals, because why not. :b
As for why Umbra is purple, it’s because
1) Purple was the color of my previous persona, and
2) I just like purple. I am not a complicated person :v

Ref's a bit quick and sketchy, I was just tired of having nothing in my gallery >>; Also, I STILL haven't figured out any back and neck markings. I am happy with the face markings, as well as the arm and leg ones.

I'll try to add more info here later, if anything comes up.

I should also note that the color is a bit off here, for some reason. Umbra should have the proper colors in my other submissions. I'll probably do a complete update of this reference in the future.
