Usagi is a magical creature who was born as, and generally appears as, a female purple bunny.

She is a rabbit/cougar hybrid, mainly with rabbit traits but with some feline ones (a more feline muzzle, the ability to purr and omnivorous tendencies) with light purple fur, dark purple curly hair, brown eyes and a load of freckles across her face and dotted in other spots.

She is a magical rabbit, capable of appearing as anything she chooses though she strongly prefers her base form (though she has been known to play with certain gender and sexual characteristics depending on her mood). She is capable of magically temporarily altering herself and items she touches at an atomic level, able to change items from one thing to another or to appear to make things appear or disappear. She is also able to channel other forms of magic, though this usually has unpredictable (and often disastrous) results and she tries hard not to touch magical items that she did not charge or create herself.

Though her name is Hoshiko Usagi, she was branded with the title of "The Witchiebunny" by one Gene Catlow and the name has stuck to the point that she will answer to it quicker than she will answer to her actual given name.
