Vick, a confused cub as a youth, was taken in by Torque when he was fifteen years old. He wasn't too sure of where his life was heading, so when Torque took him in and offered him a job at "Tweak n' Torque", Vick took him up on a chance for a real life.

Back then Vick was lonely, and when Redd, a precocious fox, was dragged in by his collar and put to work for vandalizing some cars on the lot, Vick was glad to have someone to talk to. They'd already hit it off by the next year, when Harley arrived.

Of course, Vick had no idea that his love with Redd would grow so deep that Harley would sacrifice himself to save it, taking a bullet meant for Redd. Soon after, Redd grew cold and ended things with Vick, unable to stand the idea of Vick doing what Harley had done. Redd took off, never intending to see Vick again.

Years later, Torque suffered from a heart attack, and Vick was left alone once more. He was ready to end it all when Redd suddenly showed up at the garage door. He admitted he was sorry, and that his fear was holding him back. The two rekindled their old flame, and began anew.
