Harley had a rough childhood. He grew up in Rockford, IL. Born to a teenage mother, he and his father were abandoned by her when he was age 5. His father, Pardus, found he couldn't care for his son, and turned to alcohol, and soon violence. As Harley grew older, the beatings grew worse, often ending with a trip to the hospital or a few weeks in bed. On his sixteenth birthday, Harley decided he would finally defend himself, and bought his first switchblade. The next time his father tried to attack him, Harley was prepared. He dug the knife into his father's skull, and buried him in the backyard. As no one particularly cared for Pardus, no one saw the need to report, or even investigate the sounds of the struggle. Harley, meanwhile, made his way any way he could as far as he could, and ended up in Boulder, CO. There he was taken in by a "grease-monkey" (in the literal and metaphorical) named Torque, who, along with his proteges, taught him how to be a real man. All was well, it seemed...but at age 23 Harley lost his life defending one of his new friends from an attacker. He went to a place reserved for those who stand out in society...and it could be said he lives on there.
