A (internally pessimistic) push over, he’s a people pleaser when needed. Due to his size he’s never once looked up at someone else his own age. That makes him rather nervous as others tend to look to him first. Thus he learned others expect him to help. He’ll let others have their way first before sticking up for himself. He has a habit of sneaking up on others, often towering above them before he is noticed. He’s a quiet often not very expressive guy. Having come from a larger family he is used to a lack of privacy and frankly is not stunned by much.

While he’s a doormat in terms of willingness to help others, He will not allow himself or others to be harmed intentionally by others. He’s not half bad in a fight, growing up he often was cornered by all his siblings at once. He knows a thing or two and isn’t afraid to brawl when he feels it’s needed. Likewise he also has no problem getting between two people. While he’s not muscular and heavy set he can put some distance between two people effectively breaking up a fight. He will not become someone’s human shield and protect them in a fight.

He wants to be of use, often allowing others to decide or being the bait when needed. Again he will do what is expected of him or agree to dangerous ideas that put him in harms way. He knows he’s not the brightest but he’s usually pretty quick on his feet. Due to his size he can also pack a punch when needed. Despite being a doormat he can be quite stubborn as shown in his relationship with Bakhita.

Dispute being the first to offer he’s internally cursing himself. He’s horrid at voicing his own opinions and frankly goes along with almost anything. He’ll usually speak up when asked or forced to. Vittore will usually speak quickly, often stringing whole ideas together simultaneously. He’ll usually calm down and re-explain it after a bit of coaxing.

He’s pretty observant and has an excellent memory. Though he will never share anything told to him. He’s also honest, if he has an unfair advantage or messed something up he will say so. He’s a creature of habit and will continue to do something in order or a pattern without realizing what he’s doing. He tends to sit in the same place, eat the same things in the same order, and much more. He’s pretty easy to predict after a while save for one of his stubborn moments.

Past story:

He’s the second youngest of nine siblings. He actually had an identical twin brother who would have been the real ninth if he wasn’t a stillborn. As a child he’s never had a shortage of people around him. Most of the time he was the errand boy or message giver between the family members. His Father was a merchant and his Mother was tailor. By the time he turned sixteen there was literally nothing left for him to inherit and his bedroom was being shared with four nephews, his eldest brother and his brother’s wife.

Vittore has always been a tall and somewhat meek boy. Often forced to play the titan in his siblings games and during his childhood was ridiculed for his height. He was often cornered and forced to fight them all off. Out of all his siblings he was the least interested in joining the legion. In fact he wanted to just live a quiet normal life.

He developed a crush on Bakhita at a young age. His father and her father where often in contact and Vittore was often the messenger boy between the two. Vito would often come over to her house to deliver notes, packages or a helping hand. He grew to like her strong and bold personality. Though he was more of the background guy, He rarely hung around her as a friend and merely admired from afar.

He still loves her and feels conflicted due to her fiancées death. He wasn’t present nor did he know the man well. But during his childhood he felt extremely envious of him. Vito would say he even grew to hate him, if he ever talked about it. He does feel pity for the man though and admires his bravery. Simply put, the man has become a sort of role model for the kind of person Vito wants to become. To this day he has never told a soul about his feelings for her or about how he feels in general.

Reason:

Bakhita, the girl he loves… who sort of doesn’t love him. That and his family (refer to Past story). Vittore is currently tailing after his long time crush whom is also his childhood friend. He’s greatly worried about her. He also has little hope of doing much else with his life, so he figured it’s better standing alongside the one he loves as a comrade then wondering what happened to her from afar.

He’s known for a long time that it would only be a matter of time before she would run off to the front lines. While he’s not to thrilled about her choices he’s willing to follow her even to his death… though he would prefer not to die.

Odd facts:

• His mother made his scarf from clothing scrapes from the whole family. It’s so they can be sure when and if he dies… to put it simply they have very little faith in his survival.

• He sees Bakhita as his closest childhood friend though he isn’t quiet sure she felt the same way even about that.

• He loves card games though he usually needs to sit on the floor or something due to his height advantage.

• It’s not that he doesn’t like smiling or feels sad. Vittore is actually nervous and embarrassed by a gap between his two front teeth.

• He’s always wanted to find or at least meet someone who was his height or taller.

• He’s actually got scars all over his neck and back. His elder siblings sometimes got really into their titan games. Though once his parents found out that was the end to the games anyways.

• Vito was a nickname his mother gave him. Possibly due to the fact that he should live his own life, though he has yet to do anything for his own good.

• His freckles are symmetrical…

Relationships:
❤❤❤❤❤ Bakhita Reina De'Vitiello: The girl he loves and admires. She's the main reason he pushed himself towards what will most likely be his grave. She doesn't think much of him however. Vittore just wants her to notice him and hopefully tell her his feeling. He will do anything to follow her, and someday hopes to stand by her side as an equal instead of trailing behind her.

Vittore: He reaches down and scoops up the smaller child in front of him. What are you going to do when I’m gone? He sighs as he ruffles his youngest cousin’s hair. Ma, Pa, I’m going! He yells hoping to be heard over the bustle of his family. Looking down he tried his best to smile at the small boy. Well at least one person came to wish him off… this might be the last time any of them see him alive and well… but just goes to show his place in the pecking order. I’ll miss you kiddo. He sets the child down and pats their head one last time. Tell everyone I said bye ok? He takes a deep breath and steps out. His legs where like jelly and he was pretty sure it was smart to skip breakfast that morning… Well… Off to death I guess.
