Jacks is on the run. He's been exiled from the space colony that he was born on for desertion - among other things. Jacks is now flying with the crew of a "merchant" ship out of necessity. He can't hope to survive in an honest profession. He is a soldier, after all. Despite how he tries to grapple with the demons of his past, they plague him constantly. Will he find redemption with these morally ambiguous men or will his past catch up with him in the end?
