The demonic dark pegasus Teufel in the story found that with immortality came procrastination. When he wanted to use his power to create his own fantasy world, he'd forgotten how to create. He sought the soul of an unsatisfied artist in dreams until he found Johnnykat, to whom he gave three wishes to make his dreams come true in exchange for Johnnykat's soul.

Johnnykat was unsatisfied because he had his ultimate sex fantasy in his mind. She wasn't real so the only way he'd been able to make her real was to draw her and roleplay as her online. For his first wish, Johnnykat wished for paint to create a living drawing of Roxikat who we could speak with. Teufel took a fistful of his feathers, crushed them into pulp in one fist, which dropped into Johnnykat's paint cup. He used this "toon paint" to draw Roxikat. As he did, she came to life because it drained the roleplay personality of Roxikat (Johnnykat's muse) out of his soul. When he did, Johnnykat lost his inspiration to create.

He was also unsatisfied for two other reasons. He found two real life friends online from playing Roxikat. One invented Roxi's sister Magickat, to get closer to Johnny in hopes of confessing his love to him. But Johnnykat had a mental image of Magickat looking so much like Roxikat that the real life, male player left him unsatisfied. The other had long blonde hair and was just a friend, but Johnny had the hots for him, but it was confusing to Johnnykat for a male to like another male. Johnnykat couldn't accept these feelings in his mind.

For Johnnykat's second wish, he asked Teufel to be able to change a friend into Roxikat. Whether it be to turn Magickat's player into Roxikat for fraternal companionship, or to turn the long-haired crush into Roxikat to be his lover, was undecided. Teufel crushed more of his feathers and dropped a pair of toon gloves at Johnny's feet, like the kind that Roxi wears. This drained the morality and kindness out of Johnnykat, and another third of the artist's soul. He put the gloves in a glass case because one touch would make the wish happen.

Johnnykat spoke to his living drawing of Roxikat, and she found him cruel, since he only had a third of his soul left. Johnny became enraged at Roxikat rejecting him and tore the drawing in half. With the tore paper in his fists, he punched through the glass case, accidently putting on the toon gloves. Johnnykat became Roxikat and changed back and forth, only able to talk to each other in mirrored reflections.

The rest of the story was unwritten, but before she was forced to absorb the rest of his soul, she was able to empower Johnnykat with the idea that it was okay for a him to like other guys. When Johnnykat accepted this, he was no longer a weakened spirit and was able to merge the rest of his soul with Roxi and turn that soul-sucking power against Teufel in an unsuspected creative way that only the spirit of an artist could, binding the dark pegasus to a painting. Roxikat took the rest of Teufel's power and separated from Johnnykat to live in the dreamworld or something or other, able to inspire Johnnykat in his dreams. Johnnykat went on to roleplay Roxi online, but he explored being real in real life. Teufel with all his darkness drained away was a Roman horse named Temprus who then went on to live a mortal life.
