Main character from the OTHER novel I'm working on.

Sasha, professional violinist and chronic sufferer of an inexplicable and incurable condition known only as Weird.

While his body is human, he has the head of a brindlequin Great Dane and a strangely shaped hole/vent in his forehead, like a third eye. It's shaped like an inverted triangle. He speaks through that hole. Sometimes steam/smoke emanates from it. Other times it 'leaks' a sticky black substance. One time thousands upon thousands of ants and flies poured out. Once a whole snake slithered out. His canine face can and does emote, but it does not speak--although he could bark or whine or howl if he wanted.

The dog part of his head ends near the back of his neck, but his front has no nipples.

His skin tone is yellowish/olive, suggesting he MIGHT be some kind of Asian. No one's actually sure, though, and no one is sure how to ask him.

He is allergic to Angels--which is unfortunate, because Angels don't exist. And yet. He gets runny eyes/nose and his head becomes painfully stuffed up in their nonexistent presence.

Sasha contracted Weird when he was a toddler. He has to take a number of pills, and if he doesn't, he begins to sprout tentacles and the hole on his head begins to widen until his head turns inside out. It only gets weirder from there. (He becomes a completely inside-out monster with doglike body parts and a human face, which then wanders around wailing and taking things apart.) If he takes the pills again at any point in the process, it reverts.

As a fun side note, if you were to stick your finger into the hole in his head (rude?!), you would touch neither brain nor skull, but just sort of an endless void that may or may not be wet and cold inside.

Sasha's voice is a deep, soothing baritone--or it would be, were it not for the inclusion of staticky sounds, which sound like radio interference. In the presence of angels, his voice can actually sputter and cut out or the static can raise to a defeaning level. The same overwhelming levels of static can happen when he Inverts.

Speaking of Inversion, Sasha has no idea how profound his Weird is--he believes it's pretty moderate. He has no idea he is literally all Weird inside. His suppressant medication and its effect are part of why he believes this, since severe Weird is barely controllable, if at all. His condition clearly under control, though... right?
