Alise Mulwray is just a normal girl from normal earth - or at least, she was, before getting randomly transported into a fantasy world and finding herself in possession of a magic sword. A big magic sword too - she found that she could alter it's appearance by thought, but it was always at least as long as she was tall. But in her hands, strangely, light as a feather. It gave her other magical abilities, too. So she did what any other spunky girl suddenly possessing magical powers in a foreign land with no way home would do - become an adventurer and use her new abilities for fun and profit.

Oh, and to do good and right wrongs, of course. When there was time.

This is actually an old RP character I had a long, long time ago, but I was inspired to bring her back when I got Guild Wars 2. She's something of a cross between a swordmage and an anime magical girl. The sword is bonded to her, and if it's taken away, she can teleport it back to her eventually.
