Backstory: Him and his sister Blair were orphaned when they were still young. Being the older of the two, he had to work to keep both of them alive and safe, which was very difficult and he overworked himself a lot. He began to disappear now and then and return with loads of money, though where it came from was a mystery. He still comes home with huge amounts of money sometimes, which is very suspicious and many are under the impression that he's doing something illegal, though it turns out he is a very talented artist who goes under a pen name (Ruelle) to keep his actual identity hidden.
