Rini is a happy little girl, despite her size. Her parents were the result of a mad scientist's lab experiments, sure, but when they escaped and found they were able to have a child, they were determined to raise her as normally as they could. In her mind, she turned out okay, striking out happily on her own and living on the edges of civilization. She lives much like a mouse - taking what she can manage to "borrow" without the full-sized people who own the house noticing it.

As perhaps a side-effect of what the scientists had done to her parents, she's actually very smart, with a near genius intellect and the ability to comprehend and copy most concepts after even a quick study. Because of that, she's a master tinkerer, able to build lots of gadgets if she can find the right parts at her scale.
