Fidel was born into a very wealthy family. He lived a pretty stereotypical rich white kid life until he was about 6. His family had decided to take in a scraggly young blonde boy for a few weeks. Neil quickly became Fidel’s best friend and they did almost everything together. Subsequently, Fidel was terribly sad when Neil had to leave. After that, Fidel didn’t interact much with the other children because he failed to develop the bond with them that he and Neil had previously. At about 7, Fidel met the 18 year old Alistair at a party his parents dragged him to. When Fidel was about 15 or 16, his parents were in a terrible car accident on their way home from work. He rushed to the hospital and almost had to punch out the doctor so he could get back to see them. Long story short, Fidel ended up inheriting the family fortune earlier than expected. For the rest of his highschool career, he took a load of college classes and by the time he actually enrolled in a university was a junior in college and graduated a year early (and when his parents died he was a junior in high school. He’s real smart).
Shortly after he graduated, he joined the symphony. One night, he was walking his dog, Biscuit, down the streets of the town. Suddenly, Biscuit broke free of his leash and took off down an alleyway. When Fidel caught up to his dog, he discovered Note. Fidel called one of the staff members of the manor and had him drive down and pick them up. Assuming it was a gang related accident, Fidel had the Barthlow family doctor perform the necessary operation to avoid a visit to the hospital. Shortly after Note was healed and began to be himself, Fidel was fired from his job that he had started while in college. His homophobic boss claimed that he ‘felt that [Fidel] was a homosexual’ and refused to believe him when Fidel explained that he was asexual (“You don’t look like a single-celled organism to me, liar”). But it was all ok because Alistair hired him on as soon as he heard that Fidel got fired. Fidel has worked there ever since.
