Note was born on the outskirts of a large city near where he lives now. His mother died in childbirth and he was raised by his homeless father. His father taught him how to pickpocket and eventually Note figured out how to flat-out steal from places. When Note was about 7, his father was hit by a car while trying to chase someone down who had tried to take some of what little they had. While his father was in the hospital, Note was taken care of by one of the wealthier families (one of the wealthiest in the area), the Barthlows. Jackson and Rebecca (the parents) were some of the first people to arrive on the scene of the accident. While staying at the house, Note befriended the couple’s 6 year old boy, Fidel. However, Note’s father was released from the hospital several weeks later and Note was forced to leave. A few years later, Note was unhappy with their living conditions so he ran away and stumbled across the gang he would lead in the future. They happily accepted him into their family and taught him their ways.

When Note was about 19-20, his gang (that he was now leader of) attempted a raid on one of the larger corporations in the area. In the process of escaping, Note was shot once in his shoulder and once in his thigh. Unable to keep running, he limped off into an alleyway and wedged himself between two dumpsters. He was just about unconscious when a small dog started to lick his face. Horribly confused, Note looked up but didn’t really have time to look at the person standing over him before he really did black out. When he came to, he was in the Barthlow family manor (which of course he recognized as soon as his vision cleared up). He figured that the person who saved him must have been Fidel, but he didn’t mention anything because he was afraid to be wrong and was worried that maybe Fidel didn’t remember him and thought it would be creepy. He’s lived with Fidel for about 3-4 years now and often accompanies him to work when there’s nothing gang related going on. Once, Note tried to steal some papers from (what he didn’t know at the time was) Alistair’s main office. The evening ended with him punching Nathaniel in the face when the bodyguard tried to apprehend him. Alistair made a deal with Note that they wouldn’t turn him in to the authorities as long as he didn’t rob any of his companies.

Fun Fact: Note dyes his eyebrows too.
