Meet my new pair, tragedy and despair. They must live their lives with tails that constantly bring them down. Higeki with his tail of rain clouds, always raining on his parade and Zetsubou with her tail of ooze constantly sapping away her happiness. They are cousins, born two months apart, and have always been really close.

Higeki:

Higeki wants to be apart of something, but his anxiety is always holding him back. His tail, composed of rain clouds, is always there whenever he starts feeling anxious... It will calmly remain behind him when he is not feeling anxious, but just knowing that it will rain on him when he is anxious makes him anxious and so his days begin and end wet.

Zetsubou:

Zetsubou has a hard time staying positive. She is actually quite talented and skilled and could do anything she puts her mind to. But most days... she doesn't even get out of bed. Her tail, comprised of a happiness-sapping ooze, feeds on any tiny bit of happiness she can ever find. Unfortunately, she cannot get rid of her tail. It is part of her, just as Higeki's is part of him.

These two will most likely be used for vent art. I have several ideas for mini-comics with them as well.
