Toast has always been one of my favorite characters; she's both a well-read bookworm and an active prankster. Originally she was a much more cartoony looking fancharacter for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, but over the years she's developed into her own entity and the first of an odd little species. Even back then she had the ability to shrink down to pocketsize.

The halo above Toast's head can grow as big as a hoola hoop or as small as a ring, and Toast uses it both as a ranged weapon for flinging at enemies and as a toy to amuse herself with when she has nothing else to do. Although it usually appears as a halo floating above Toast's head, its true form is that of a large bell which houses Toast's magic source, her very spirit. This isn't the same thing as her soul; her spirit contains all of the memories of all of the lives she's ever lead.

Although she's in greyscale here, Toast's name comes from her color scheme: her hair is butter yellow, and her fur is the color of toasted wheat bread. In every incarnation, she's always worn clothes that were purple with yellow trim and had markings around her eyes. Originally that yellow trim and the tips of Toast's ears and tails all had bells attached to them, and the markings around her eyes were actually glasses.

Toast has three older sisters, Icicle, Constance Anastasia, and Ivel.
