Born and raised in London’s East End, Lanley has been branded a trouble-maker ever since his school years. Upon leaving school he tried to join the Army, but was dishonourably discharged after he was caught smuggling explicit porn into the country. Afterwards, rendered homeless, he took to busking until he happened to hear of the band’s audition for a new guitarist to replace Cole. Lanley auditioned, and won the coveted role. After Cole returned, he stayed on as rhythm guitarist, adding a new dimension to their music.

Lanley is still quite the trouble-maker. He is also a consummate womaniser; anything with breasts is a potential target of his amorous advances (which are usually spurned). In spite of this, his heart is always in the right place, and he’ll stick up for the band endlessly; he has become well-known for giving his frank opinions on muck-raking journalists.
