Born to a military family with a father who was a Marine Colonel, it was only natural that Eric would follow his father's footsteps to leadership. He had his usual run ins with trouble from early age to his late teens. He grew up on various military bases, most of which were in the south east of the continental United States. Though time spent on the east coast island states was common as well.

Eric followed his fathers steps to an officers position in the marines, however he met his love, Charity Rhody, during his time at the officer's academy. His urge to spend time with her led Eric to "jump ship" to a new branch of the armed forces: the Airborne Navy Division. Under the jurisdiction of the Navy and manned with Marines.

Cross is fiercely loyal to his friends and loved ones. His is very charismatic and he has an innate ability to lead. Once crossed, however, he is a devastating enemy and opponent.
