Unsurprisingly, the rain forest contains equal parts rain and forest.

While I was in Costa Rica, I stayed at a lodge in the rain forest outside of Guapiles, and it did indeed rain pretty much every day, for much of the day, even in the dry season. But you kind of anticipate that, and it's still about 70 degrees out, so it's much more tolerable than a downpour in the middle of winter in New England!
