Career Breeder Training - Novice

You're only just learning what makes Stryx tick when it comes to breeding, and that sometimes tempers flare when females are in season. Draw your Stryx breaking into a fight with another male or female at their nesting area or in a large paddock, while your rider attempts to diffuse the situation.

With a small run-up Zarya climbed on Mist’s saddle and, with a quick command, the frizzy chilly air of the late Autumn was all that sustained rider and Stryx in their flight between the clouds. It might have been only Zarya’s imagination, but it seemed to her that Mist was a bit nervous that day, flapping her wings with more vigor than necessary. Before she could have confirmation of it, they reached Roxanne’s current location, a small camp in an open space between the mountains. The rider jumped down her dragon’s back and went to greet her friend, with whom she had to talk about important things.
Roxanne’s stryx went to greet Mist, but before they could drag her to play with them she saw on the other side of the camp some piles of dried grass that had a weird shape and smell, so she decided to get closer to examine them. When she got at a few meters from them she saw some weird smooth stones that looked familiar and felt a weird attraction towards them. Mist was so caught by those things that she didn’t even notice the Corva who was swooping on her as she made one step too much towards them. Mist barely dodged the attack and Rakatak got between her and the eggs to protect them from the potential thief. The gray Stryx felt a new kind of rage burning inside her, but before she could respond to the attack Zarya came running out of Roxanne’s tent and shoved her back, while creating a wall of fog between the two angry dragons. Zarya brought her away from the nesting area and tied her behind the tent where Rakatak could not be seen, all while apologizing with Roxanne for Mist’s behaviour. Roxanne’s stryx observed the scene from afar first and then tried to come closer to Mist to cheer her up after the riders got back inside, but she ignored them completely aside from making growling sounds when they dared too much. The visit lasted for some more time, then Zarya and Roxanne came back and untied the mortified yet nervous Mist, who apologized to the latter by pressing gently her head against her chest. Zarya jumped once more on her Stryx’s back and flew off the cliff towards the forest, where she hoped to do a successful hunt. Nothing better than digging claws into a prey’s flesh and a fully tummy to make a nervous Stryx relax~

I've long decided to go with the Breeder career in DracoStryx, so I've been drawing these while waiting for my first Stryx to be approved~
