This raises a very good question, what if you woke up tomorrow to find out your genitalia changed to the opposite gender, what if it was contagious? Also something we'll see later on in the comic, which I also touched in Mirror's Cycle, would you just hide from everyone? Attempt at passing off as a SRS's transexual? Try changing every single birth register? Although I try not to be too harsh on my characters in these stories they will have to come up with an idea.

Oh, and about Charlie's relationship with his family, that's something I want to explain in small pieces of information, but you can get some ideas from what Valentina just said, doing a long exposition about the topic wouldn't have worked if it came out of nowhere, but you'll know more eventually, of course.
