A collection of four pictures of Toby. Toby was one of those characters I had a lot of fun drawing back when I first designed him. His snazzy little outfit, his look, his personality, he's a fun character. Only problem is, I just stopped drawing him sometime in the middle of 2010 (aside from a single sketch portrait)... but in 2013 I started drawing him again, and quite frequently.
Instead of submitting them all individually, I decided to combine them into a collection of sorts for posting here. I will link the original, single pictures on their DeviantArt pages for anyone that is interested.

The first picture, not much to say about it besides that it was my first drawing of Toby in quite some time. I was experimenting with Paint.NET a lot at the time, trying new things, hence the hand signature on a digital piece. I had used the fill bucket on the inked lineart, then went over the inked lines with the line tool. Not a very efficient (or good) process.

The second piece was done the same way. Of course, since I seem to enjoy drawing big butts and floofy tails, this happened.

The third picture features a bit of a design update for Toby, I noticed that the way I draw squirrels is a bit too similar to how I draw skunks so I gave his tail a bit more of a curl and made his nose a bit larger. His pistol received a bit of an upgrade too, it looks a bit more substantial now and less like some kind of toy or pellet gun or something.
Another one of these minimalist "two colored rectangle" backgrounds, I like how they look with these simple poses.

The final picture is from the very end of 2013. While I normally draw Toby with briefs, I recently decided that boxers are cuter so I wanted to draw him wearing a pair. True to his personality, they are bright and colorful and are sure to attract the attention of the girls (and guys). I'm thinking about switching him from briefs to boxers now.
There's just something about fat toony animal guys with round butts, I don't know what it is, but I find them adorable.
