That's surprisingly close! Myrtle was working in her parents' tavern (not this one, a different one) when some chumpy wizard up and died there. His book chose her as its new assistant/host. Now she has to go adventuring whether she likes it or not!

I love these! I think my favorite is Myrtle. Did her and the book just escape from prison and are now in the midst of a wacky adventure where they find out their seemingly conflicting personalities have more in common than they thought??
