A day that would have passed unnoticed, just like any other in the city... or so he thought.

I figured my canid friend's birthday was drawin near, so I decided to give him a call and come over to spend the afternoon with him, since he lives by his own, granting him with some company would be a nice change of pace.

And so we did! I managed to pick him from the comfiness of his apartment and pulled him into a nearby park with me so that he could chill and forget about how stressing his career was, because I knew he was always drowned in studies.

It would have been a nice day, but just as we were about to grab some snacks, it began to rain.

Everyone around us seemed to rush around, fleeing from the pouring rain and scooting back into he city. He had the same idea, but I asked him to just take it easy and sit down with me. I opened my neck frills above his head to block out the water.

He didn't say anything, he just gave me a tender hug and I hugged him back, telling him, "Don't worry, I'm waterproof".
