Blood Chain:

A mage, Chain, discovers a sleeping forest spirit, possibly the last of it's kind, and using a binding spell, enslaves the spirit, who's name is Quard. What he didn't count on was the spirit entering a rare fertile cycle. All that is left of spirits are demons. And everywhere he goes with his spirit companion, demons are irresistibly drawn. Not only do they seek to produce spawn with the purest source of the route of their power to produce the best demon offspring, they are especially tempted by the allure of a fertile spirit.

Chain has his hands full trying to keep Quard away from demons, while unable to find sanctuary in nearby lands, because he stole the the ancient book used to bind himself to Quard.

The spirit hopefully proposes a solution to his master: the mage could impregnate him. Humans can produce non-demon offspring with spirits. It might save the species. But heterosexual Chain isn't ready to consider such a thing with a being that looks so male.

But their binding bond grows. The longer Quard remains suspended in fertility, the more feedback begins to affect Chain. Only time will tell what this means for Chain and his enslaved Quard.

(I know there's a slavery element to this. Trust me, Chain has learned a flawed perspective, and his actions don't go un-punished. :) )
