Insanity Times Three by Zluta

Insanity Times Three

Zluta

One of my favorite things I've ever drawn, of three of my favorite characters. I drew them together because they share a common trait- insanity- but each have such a different flavor to offer.

On the left is Virus, whose back and chest/belly are marred by radiation(Yes I know radiation is actually blue-he was designed for me by someone on DA and I rather like his design. Just shhhhhh pretend it's how radiation should look) and whose mind is less-than stable. He's cynical, gruff, doesn't understand affection, and sees absolutely nothing wrong with ending the life of another being. His mental state was likely caused by an accident he had as a pup. He fell into a river and was swept away. His parents never found him, and he doesn't remember any of his life before waking up on the riverbank.

Asylum, in the middle, is cursed by "Pure Darkness" on his head, back, paw, and tail, which eat away at his soul and smoke when he's angry.. Normally he has no feelings at all, but on occasion he falls into a fit of rage, during which he has no control over his actions, the Darkness taking control and turning him into a mindless killer.

And on the right is Malak, who is also Milton, but at the same time, very much not. Born a seemingly normal pup with the name Milton, it soon became apparent that the pup was anything but "normal". He talked to himself, stared at things that weren't there, and blamed voices that no one else could hear when he did horrible things. Milton is shy and jumpy, and generally afraid of everything. As he grew older and the voices began asking for more horrific things, Milton "created" another entity inside of him, someone who would be able to do such things without going through was Milton himself had to. Thus, Malak was born. He destroys his victims gleefully, and is every bit as evil as the voices themselves. If ever Malak does not take over, Milton will do as the voices ask purely in desperation, hoping that if they're satisfied, they'll just go away, but often the screams of his victims frighten him, and he shrieks along with them, just as terrified as they are. Once Milton has snuffed out their life, he'll cuddle and pet their body, trying to comfort himself with it as a child would a stuffed animal.
