I love these two

When I was 13-17 I wanted to be like Sam I enjoyed her more then the other characters even Danny at times. I saw the Chemistry between Danny and Valarie and I did think they were great together but the biggest issue is Danny couldn’t tell her his secret. In most superhero relationships that’s a relationship killer. And for me that’s what killed it

Sam knew, Sam was there and while there have been times she’s been bossy she’s blushed at Fenton as much if not more then as phantom, She’s been there since Kindergarten she’s loved Danny before the powers how people describe and see her is more Paulina’s personality

Everyone was OOC in season 3 but Sam had always been the voice of reason in that moment where Danny was just being a normal kid? The world was falling apart. What Sam says “ I'm not mad about corndogs. You're not you anymore. You're just a normal kid. And a selfish one at that. Danny don't you get it? Your powers gave you a chance to change things. A chance that no one else had, and I was thrilled to help you. But now you're just one of the crowd again. Everything. You got to fight ghosts after school while other kids fought acne. And you don't seem to care what you gave up.

When you had your powers I knew that this town was protected from evil. But now, who knows where we're headed. I'll always be your friend Danny, and I'll always be there for you. But I can't live life just sitting on the sidelines. I'm surprised you think you can.”

So many jump on this as saying “see Sam didn’t care about Danny just phantom” but they tend to forget what else she says later

“Now that's the Danny I know. So much for sitting on the sidelines, huh?”

And

“Danny! It's you! Well, it was always you, but…”

She was never mad about the powers she was mad he wasn’t being pro active to help save the world even when he wasn’t a ghost the line of “so much for sitting on the side lines” Danny didn’t have his powers but he actively went hunting ghosts and with in the show with out going ghost he was being heroic in pirate radio
THAT is what she wanted from him it was just written wrong but even OOC THIS is what she is saying “I'll always be your friend Danny, and I'll always be there for you. But I can't live life just sitting on the sidelines. I'm surprised you think you can.”

So yes I’ll defend Danny x Sam and yes I will continue to ship it and see it for what it is if I get called a fanbrat, lost my mind, don’t know right from wrong” etc over a fictional ship I’ll say those people need to step back and walk in some grass

I’m an adult I can ship two characters from a show with out being bad mouthed because I your opinion they are “toxic” opinion is not fact

I can like this there isn’t any taboo reason not to no big age gap for example (both are 14/15) no in show abuse (verbal or otherwise aside from the bullies Sam has never said anything degrading to Danny)

I like this ship you don’t? Fine

But don’t bad mouth me just because we don’t see eye to eye on a fictional relationship
