I had already leaned towards reimagining my mouse character, Aidan Cheddar, as a cybernetic being born in a lab. And yesterday I watched Guardians 3, and it almost brought me to tears. The two already had some of the same traits back when I first wrote him, long before the MCU, mostly being a lone kleptomaniac mouse that didn't care about his size and used it to his advantage. After watching the movie, I decided to embrace the concept of how similar these two are by making him have emotional outbursts, have an inferiority complex, and be an expert on complex systems, but also give him his own traits like being calmed down by classical music and loving cheese, for starters. Early model sheets before the lab origin already showed him how emotional he could get, so it's not like it's completely out of character, anyway.
