Chapter: 2

Jeza opened his eyes slowly as he heard something nearby, his head hurting like a headache as he got to his feet. Suddenly he heard a dog bark and a scream he could not identify as he hurried to see what was going on. As he rounded the corner he stared as the dog was thrown up into the air and swallowed whole in one pice. He had no words as he stood there, looking at the bird with fear in his eyes. Then he saw a bit of light and hurried towards what he hoped were the exit of this cave as his legs would carry him.

As he came to the exit he stopped for a moment realizing there was no escape from this place as he looked down, solid rock all the way to ones death and no safe way to climb down either. Suddenly he felt a bit of warm air, breathing him in the neck. He stood still for a moment not daring to move knowing the bird lived up here, he closed his eyes knowing what would happen to him. Swallowed hole just like the dog it devoured a while ago.

When nothing happened he slowly opened his eyes only to see an eye staring at him before him and suddenly something grabbed him from behind. He wanted to scream but nothing came as he suddenly hangs above the ground in the air as the bird brought him inside the cave. It dropped him in a deep pit it had for saved animals like sheep, pony and a few horses. It was large he could tell but he also noticed a flow of water deeper in the pit.

He looked towards the bird that had already left him along with the animals and he walked to the water and drank some of the water. He had no idea what it wanted to do with him but it was clear it might very well eat him one day. At least the animals kept him company as he found some dried grass to make a bed of as he laid down on it sadly he could not keep it for himself as a sheep started to eat on it.
