Now this was a lot of fun to draw! The original request was simple: to see Taiyo Jacob and Zaelgolin blowing up together. Without much more to go on, I started toying with different ideas to try and get something original. Initially, this piece was just going to be something similar to what I've done in the past - a mutual inflation, a pump-off perhaps....but no of these ideas really inspired. With such an open-ended request, I began thinking of another favorite inflation setting: the inflation laboratory. For some reason, there's something much more...exciting, and even a little intimidating about a lab setting: the big, scary equipment, the lights and gauges, the simple, sterile aesthetic. But perhaps even more than that is knowing you're part of a "test" - and that the outcome is uncertain. And of course, as so many B-movies have shown, those tests have a tendency to take unexpected turns...

The story behind this setting is simple. After hearing about the joys of inflation, Taiyo decides to ask Zaelgolin to show him what it's like. Rather than just engage in a bit of bland pumping, Zael decides to take his new acquaintance to his favorite inflation facility - equipped with high-powered pumps, exotic gases and plenty of room to enjoy them. Though it might have been a bit much for a beginner, Zael takes Taiyo into an inflation chamber, and hooks them both up to the house inflator. After cranking up the flow of gas, the two of them kick back and enjoy the sensation. To Zael's surprise, Taiyo appeared to handle the pressure remarkably well, easily bloating up in step with the dark dragon, his eyes closed in happiness. Seeing Tayio's progress, Zael decides to kick back from the inflation controls and let the two of them swell up freely - the loud hissing of air like a soft, peaceful lullaby. After an hour of drifting in and out of an easy sleep, Zael awakens to find himself jammed against the walls of the room, his limbs pinned at uncomfortable angles. Tayio, still lost in a happy trance, presses up firmly against him as the two dragons squeeze tighter and tighter into the large inflation chamber. Struggling, scarcely able to move, Zael flails wildly, trying to reorient himself. Spitting out his oral inflator, he reaches with all his might for the inflation console, only to find it just out of reach - the pressure of the two dragons sealing him tightly in place. A rush of pain takes hold as an alarm starts up, lights flashing red, warning of the imminent overpressure. Struggling, unable to reach the controls, the pumps still hissing at their highest speed, Zael whines loudly, wondering how the two of them are going to get out of this one...
