Thought I'd make something interesting for my buddy's birthday using his characters Syte and Shinks and by asking myself: What would happen if they were in an animated movie? Well here's my answer!

The inspiration behind the style lies heavily on the older Disney films like Lady and the Tramp as well as The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Using photoshop allowed me many advantages such as creating a Gaussian blur which I used for the background and foreground to focus the scene on Shinks in the middleground. Added a film grain to it and edited the noise levels to give a more genuine visual on the film perspective.

Also like many who like to know what the characters are saying, especially for people who don't necessarily have the greatest hearing, I've added the classic yellow subtext for the scene. It also works out perfectly since it's a still image with no audio.
