This is a rare side of ryoko that no one has seen before, Even though ryoko lives among humans and acts like a tame person thir are moments where her Animal side will come out, This however only happens when Ryoko is really really agitated or is deprived of animal meat.
If this does happen ryoko loses all logic and her inner wild animal shows, She will attack anyone or anything that moves without hesitation. The only way to stop ryoko will turning feral is to either give her 35 pounds of raw animal meat or knock her out with a Tranquilizer Dart.

The only part about this shift in ryoko's nature is that she does not remember turning feral at all and it's kind of like amnesia for her.
