'Overseers' are the most common name for this ethereal race, who are the incarnations of the worlds formers gods. The purpose of their existence was for communication between those that dwelled the worlds surface and the Gods as they chose not to come into direct contact with one another.

These messengers would enforce the will of their rulers to all species, regardless of intent.

As time went on, the Gods power waned and in turn their influence diminished. The Overseers eventually would break free of their duty, left to dwell the planet as they saw fit, choosing to live secluded from all else for eons...

Only to be rediscovered by Talnisians as their dominance in the world began to decline in their own time. A unity between them would form, in which an age of peace would last centuries.

Their presence in the world would fade once again into secrecy after the initial collapse of the Talnisian kingdom. It is mystery as to why they hid, or where they went to afterwards...

It is never determined exactly what sort of species they were. By default, each has a set of 4 arms, multiple horns, and their bodies and were covered in elaborate glowing designs. Unable to speak, they communicated through telepathy. And as representatives of the gods, they each carried immense power.

Their joint rule with the Talnisians resulted in the creation of large temples spanning the entire globe under the control of one another. As an act of continued unity and ensuring a long line of shared control, many kings and queens, both Talnisian ans Overseers, would partake in coupling rituals with those that were deemed worthy from it's populace. It is here that the first of Talnisian hybrids would emerge.

And just as their divine parent, hybrids were in fact vulnerable to death, but would cease to age once they reached the adult stage of their life.
