Warren Bugle's great sword (Claymore)

After playing Bloodborne, I was reawakened to an old project of mine about Clerics, Hallows*, & Monster Hunters set in the Victorian Era. I wasn’t too attached to the project for it being from when I was in High School. But with my creative friend’s support, I figured it could be something if he wanted to work on it… But Bloodborne showed me how severe my procrastination is.

*Hallow- Holy One; priest, saint

Ironically, as Dark Souls and Bloodborne draws some of its inspiration from Berserk, This series of mine was to- the idea of making a Victorian version of Berserk, and more emphasis on the cultures of monsters and religion(s). More fully it was meant to be Berserk meets Van Helsing and League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I had a title for it like “Lost Hallow”, until Harry Potter pulled its pants down.

So I feel like doing some artwork for that series again to see how it’s received. But I don’t know how to make descriptions for the weapon projects- even with research it’s going to come out dumb. But at least I know how to make cool textures; not my best, just cool.

Not much skin for the descriptions, sometimes I think weapons should just be weapons rather than these absurdly long, descriptive lore. Friend said “Guy who’s functioning as a hunter and exorcist with Excommunication and without a license”, wasn’t enough; it had to be Link and the Master Sword.

So here’s some painfully hard-dug researched and mediocre lore, for those who can’t appreciate art as a visual medium. Might throw its story away later anyway!

PS- The Order: 1886 might have also soured the idea of Victorian Monster Hunters under a proclaimed “Order”, but the game is frankly a glorious piece of generic mediocrity… in my opinion
