Ink style commission for Lusus!
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
Probably my favorite commission from last year, I spent a lot of time rendering all the details and trying to get the shine right ^-^ Super fun prompt
(Title is from William Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, where-as the quote in the artist comments is from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring. I like the language of Shakespeare's poem better, and it's the original source of the saying. But, Tolkien's poem fits the piece, so I had to include it) xD
