Practicing landscapes. Forgot how long this took, maybe between 4-6 hours? About 30 layers.
Another scene from Essence's (my fursona) dreamworld.
Sorry if there are mistakes. This was my 3rd waterfall I've done, so any tips on improving waterfalls (recommended brushes, filters, modes, etc..) would be immensely appreciated!! owo

I love doing landscapes, I wish I had more time for them c: Thank you, the waterfall falling down the rocks was actually an accident and then I was all "Oh that looks right" and then went along with it X3
I made the alterations you suggested, I tried making it darker so it looks more involved with the evening theme, I darkened the waterfall, and made some bright areas where the horizon is setting. I tried blurring the white brush strokes together while trying to keep my "messy" look X3
Thank you very much for your helpful feedback and let me know if this looks any better or what can be enchanced, you're always so helpful to me in improving my art and I always appreciate it <3
I've tried doing landscapes and backgrounds, but man! They always get me, especially if trees or flowers are involved; if there's some manner of a skeleton involved I can figure it out. Stoopid plants, not having a definable skeleton...
I did notice the changes, and while I'm flattered and feel badly seeing you change an already lovely piece based on my comment, the environment has definitely made a difference and it makes the waterfall pop out and seem a lot more majestic. >w<
I'm flattered and glad that I can help even in the slightest bit, I'm happy to offer what advice I can. >w<

Something without wolves?! And a landscape of all things? Man, kudos to you there, I suck and backgrounds and landscapes. XD
I like too how you added the water on the rocks beside the water; that adds a sense of realism just because water doesn't always go with the rest of the flow, and with the splashes can cause little riverlets along the sides. ^w^
To make it seem a bit more realistic, I might suggest blurring in the white and the blue on the body of the waterfall? And maybe adding a bit more darker blue, only because I don't see a light source that would make the waterfall really stand out. Maybe in specific pockets it can be brightest- which can make it seem more majestic- but with the brightness here it seems as if there's almost a city or another huge background source that can't be seen.
Otherwise though, it's gorgeous and I really like what you did with it. :D
