This is one of my personal favorites. My T-Rex character, Glaux is an intelligent dinosaur that cannot remember his life before he was frozen in the glacier. Whenever he feels himself forgetting a moment all those millions of years ago, he writes it down in a journal.

His cave has thousands of journals of now forgotten memories.
